Firungi (meaning ‘foreigner’ in Hindi) is a Brooklyn-based artist exploring modern identity through rhythm.

Rooted in global percussion, his music moves beyond fixed genres and identities, creating a space where ethnic sounds meet contemporary club music.

His releases across Black Book Records, MoBlack Records, and his own imprint, Fly Foreign Records, have earned support from Damian Lazarus, Dennis Cruz, Keinemusik, Solomun, and more.

That same borderless instinct has carried Firungi from Brooklyn to dance floors around the world — from Tulum to Goa — and into some of New York’s most influential rooms and parties, supporting artists such as Chris Lake, Prospa, Ahmed Spins, and Bontan.

The world he is building champions those who live between cultures — uniting boundary-crossing music, events, clothing, and conversations about the push and pull of identity in modern life.
